Supervision

Supervision is about taking care of yourself, and becoming more self-aware and skilled.

Access to good professional supervision can assist with:

  • Reviewing your work practices and discussing specific clients’ you work with.

  • Exploring and supporting your feelings in relation to work (such as inadequacy, anxiety, discouragement).

  • Identifying when self-care is needed.

  • Discussing and strengthening professional skills (e.g. formulation, time management, managing case notes).

  • Adding to your continuing professional development (including a focus on ethics, competence, standards etc.).
